Celebrating Oceans Day! \ud83c\udf0a<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On June 7, MAR Fund representatives from the MAR Fish project, the Reef Rescue Initiative, and the Protection of Maritime Resources in Central America III (Phase III) joined the Ocean Fest in Roatan to Celebrate Oceans Day. The event, organized by ZOLITUR, the Municipality of Roatan, and the Roatan Marine Park, raised awareness about the importance of marine ecosystems and biodiversity. MAR Fund attracted local authorities, students, local NGOs, and other visitors who learned about fish spawning aggregations, the \u201cFind the Whales\u201d game, coral reef restoration, post-storm reef brigades, and grant opportunities for marine protected area conservation. \ud83d\udc20\ud83d\udc99<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n
